Privacy policy

Effective date: 15 September 2026

ContainerStack is an offline game. No account is required. The game does not transmit personal data or gameplay data to us, and contains no advertising, analytics, tracking or integrated crash-reporting services.

1. Who is responsible?

2. Data stored on your device

The game stores high scores, round results (including container counts and placement chains), tower layouts for previews, and your language, sound and vibration settings in its local app storage. Tower previews are generated from saved game objects; no camera images or personal photos are used.

This data is used only to provide the game, show your records and restore your preferences. We do not receive it, link it to an identity, sell it or share it with third parties. The app does not access your contacts, location, camera or microphone. Vibration is used only for gameplay feedback and can be disabled in the game settings.

3. Storage, security and deletion

Game data is kept in the app's storage area, protected by Android's app isolation. It remains on your device until replaced by new records or settings, or until you delete it. You can reset it through Android settings → Apps → ContainerStack → Storage → Clear storage / Clear data. Menu names may vary by device. Uninstalling the app normally removes its local data as well.

Device backups and transfers may retain or restore app data, depending on your Android device and backup settings. These are managed by your operating system or backup provider, not by a ContainerStack cloud service. Manage or delete such backups with that provider. We have no access to them.

4. Contact by email

If you email us, we process your email address, message and any information you choose to include to answer your request. Our email service provider processes the message as part of email delivery and storage. Please do not send information that is unnecessary for your request.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for contractual requests or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for our legitimate interest in answering other enquiries. Messages are deleted when no longer needed to handle the request, unless legal retention obligations or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims require further retention.

5. This website and Google Play

Opening this privacy page in your browser involves website processing, including technical server logs. The website privacy notice (German) explains hosting, logs and contact processing. The website also stores your selected colour theme locally in your browser.

Google Play and your operating system process data for their own services, such as downloading the app and managing your Google account. This is separate from the game's local storage. See Google's privacy policy.

6. Your rights

Where applicable, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection under Articles 15–21 GDPR. Contact fabian@gutberlet.dev to exercise these rights regarding data we process, such as your emails. We cannot retrieve or delete game records on your device remotely; use the deletion steps above.

You can lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, including the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.

7. Changes

This notice describes the current version of ContainerStack. If the game's data processing changes, we will update this page and provide any necessary information or consent requests in the app.
